Athens by Night Tour: See the City Light Up

Athens changes when the sun goes down. The heat lifts, the streets fill with life and the Acropolis glows golden above the rooftops. The city centre and Plaka

We begin in the modern centre of Athens, where the lit-up boulevards lead to Plaka, the old town, with its narrow cobbled lanes, tavernas and centuries of history. Above it all stands the illuminated Acropolis, the highlight of the evening and a view you’ll never forget.

Classical Athens after dark

Next, you’ll see the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the marble Panathenaic Stadium, home of the first modern Olympic Games, both beautifully lit at night. We continue to Syntagma (Parliament) Square, where you can watch the Evzones at the Changing of the Guard by the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and pass the neoclassical Athens Trilogy: the Academy, the University and the National Library.

Lycabettus Hill

We then drive up Lycabettus Hill, the highest point in central Athens, for a breathtaking panorama of the city lights stretching all the way to the sea, with the floodlit Acropolis right in front of you.

Piraeus, Marina Zeas and Microlimano

Then we head down to the sea at Piraeus port, passing Marina Zeas with its private yachts shimmering on the water, to the little harbour of Microlimano, one of the prettiest spots on the coast after dark.

Vehicles: we use luxury Mercedes-Benz vehicles, legal and licensed by the Greek National Tourism Organization, smoke-free and fully air-conditioned.
Included: all tolls, fuel, parking fees and baggage charges.
Not included: drinks, meals, entrance fees, accommodation, licensed guides (optional) and gratuities.
Prices: per car, not per person.
Waiting time: your driver will wait up to 60 minutes after the agreed pickup time.
Private tours: every tour is private, personal and flexible, just for you and your party.
Airport surcharge: tours that start or end at Athens airport carry a 25% surcharge (except layover tours). The airport is a 45–60 minute drive from Athens and Piraeus port.
Night surcharge: services between 23:30 and 06:30 carry a 20% surcharge.
Names list: once your booking is confirmed, please send us the full names (first names and surnames) of everyone in your party. Local authorities require this list for all tours, and a tour without it may be cancelled.
Driver: by law, your driver is not allowed to guide inside archaeological sites and museums. Only guides licensed by the Greek Ministry of Culture may do so. We can arrange a licensed guide for you at extra cost, or you can hire one yourself.
Licensed guides: all accredited (official) guides are freelance professionals by law, hired by the operator on your behalf. Your guide issues the receipts and paperwork for their own services.
With a licensed guide, a full-day tour lasts 8 hours and a half-day tour 5 hours.
Licensed guide extra seat: if your licensed guide accompanies you for the whole tour, they travel in the vehicle with you, so please book one extra seat. For example, a party of 3 should select 4 persons (car type 4–7 people) so we send the right vehicle.
Luggage: Mercedes sedan/saloon (1–3 persons): up to 3 pieces of max. 63.5 × 45 × 28 cm (25 × 18 × 11 inches), or 2 larger pieces. Mercedes minivan or minibus: 1 piece of that size plus 1 carry-on (max. 3 kg) per person. Please tell us the exact luggage for your party for every transfer you book.
